Product Description The Apex is the pinnacle of waterproof LED headlamp design, boasting up to 130 lumens of output. With its 4 light levels, safety flash mode and impact resistant design, the Apex is an ideal headlamp for any hardcore adventure. The Apex combines a regulated Maxbright LED with 4 regulated Ultra Bright LED's, for constant brightness on all modes. Switching modes has never been easier - the dual switch system allows you to independently control the intense, smooth, long range lighting from the Maxbright LED and the wide angle, close range lighting from the 4 Ultra Bright LED's. Proprietary heat sink technology allows the LED's to burn brighter and longer. The Apex is compatible with alkaline, lithium and rechargeable batteries.

| Customer Reviews: incredible power for a head torch February 7, 2010 P. Collins (Herefordshire) This head torch is the muts nuts! I use mine for biking at night, where it easily competes with friends bike lights that cost 5 times as much. I have owned many headtorches in the past and this is easily the best one I've bought. It's definitely a heavy weight, compared to a lot of the gram scrimping ones available now, but they don't offer anywhere near the trillion candle power output that the apex offers. I use mine with rechargables which last for a couple of hours on full beam, but be warned, when they reach there regulated limit they do tend to die quite quickly. Advisable to keep a spare set of duracells handy! All in all, if you can deal with the weight then this is a powerful and very well made headtorch.
The best head lamp January 24, 2010 Martin Skogstad Just buy it ....cant say how much I love to use it, it is an almost everyday joy...:-)
Very powerful! January 14, 2010 Mr (UK) Considering the power of this torch it's very light and has a good battery life, highly recomended.
Princeton Apex Head Torch November 17, 2009 bw (East Yorkshire) Great product - ideal for purpose bought - now the dark nights are here myself and my daughter needed head torches for our weekly orienteering club club nights. Although we both find that the most useful setting is the high "spot" beam and will probably not use the other avaialble settings this is a quality product. Using re-chargeable AA batteries is so convenient, a fully charged set easily lasts the 2 hours weekly running session. A great buy - well worth the money ( I bought 2 ! ).
