5 out of 5 stars Cabin Max Backpack   December 7, 2009

For anyone who likes to fly on the cheap using the budget carriers, this is the bag for you. It makes the absolute full use of your carry-on baggage allowance by being made to the permitted size limits in all dimensions and it's really light as well, enabling you to pack over 9 kilograms of kit and caboodle. This bag has pockets where you need them so you can carry and produce your travel documents without having to open the case and a separate larger pocket which is ideal for a modern laptop computer.

Also, if you ever travel alone and want to go to a bar or self service restaurant you will know how difficult it is with a trolley bag. You can't leave your luggage unattended so you have to try and carry a tray with one hand and pull your trolley bag with the other which is difficult to say the least. Wear your luggage on your back and your hands are free to do what you want.

I can pack enough clothes and accessories for a one week holiday with ease with this bag and the savings on checked in luggage are considerable not to mention the time spent queuing to check bags in and the agonizing wait for your bag to come round on the carousel down-route. So next time your see people being stopped at the gate and charged fortunes for an oversized bag, you can gloat knowing you are within the limits and relax in the knowledge that you are being a really savvy traveller.

5 out of 5 stars great little big bag   April 27, 2010

Super bag. Strong & light with excellent capacity. Actually looks too big, but that just shows how big the Ryanair allowance can be if you take it to the maximum dimensions. Good pockets on outside for documents & well considered sections with mesh & penholders etc so good for company travel. Useful padded insert for laptop.
Not exactly elegant looking but comfortable to wear using the shoulder straps. Even fully packed it would be hard to make this weigh 10 kilos.

5 out of 5 stars worthwhile   May 30, 2010

Does what it claims. Provides for the maximum permitted size unlike so many other products and is agreeably lightweight. You need to be satisfied with the fact that to save weight it is soft pack and does not have wheels. The straps enable you to use as a back-pack which are well padded but add to the size - but we were not challenged because of this! Ideal product for the purpose.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent value and well designed   May 27, 2010

Really pleased with this bag; the overall capacity is great and it fits easily into the overhead storage on the plane. It's well made and sturdy with padded, easy-to-adjust shoulder straps and a vented back made up of three pads with air channels between that help keep your back cool. At 5' 2", I found the backpack comfortable to wear. It isn't something you'd chose to take on a day-long hike, but it's perfectly adequate for transferring from plane to hotel, and is especially good on the metro when there are stairs to navigate.

It has two separate zipped sections at the front which are really handy for carrying things like travel documents and a jacket or other stuff you want to get access to without opening the main compartment. The larger of these two front sections has two internl zipped pockets so smaller items won't fall out when you open it.

It's very light so you can use your weight allowance on the things you actually want to take rather than on the bag. The side straps mean you can tighten everything up if the bag isn't full, and they give added security. There is no stiffening, so at first sight it may look as though the bag won't hold it's shape but once packed it does. You can quite easily pack 10kg into this bag, so obviously one consideration is whether you want to carry that sort of weight. But it's ideal for maximising your cabin baggage allowance on the budget airlines and avoiding the cost and inconvenience of checking a bag.
