The best for the price October 21, 2009 R. Jenkins (Berks, UK) 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
This item does exactly as advertised and makes easy work of clearing up the autumn leaves. The leaf catch bag is quite fiddly to fit correctly, but after a bit of perseverance, and refitting after initially using the garden vac, it stays in place nicely. The three options of blow, suck and suck with an added blow really makes picking up even wet leaves easy, even when they're stuck fast to the patio. This () is the cheapest garden vac around which also performs excellently.
My only worry is that the plastic blades used to cut the leaves on entry into the catch bag really don't last long at all, and it only comes with 5. My initial session of 30 minutes went through one alone, however they are available to buy online.

Flymo Garden Vac 2700
This is positively the best purchase I have ever made, no more chasing leaves when a sudden gust of wind blows them about following the sweeping up (it always used to happen) not any longer, now I just plug in blow them all into a corner and hoover them up, such an easy machine to use, not only does it suck them up it also shreds them into a small mulch wich I save for future garden use. I fully recomend this item for anyone who has a leaf problem.

Garden Vac 2700 November 19, 2009 Mr. G. Searle 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I had to buy a new Vac when my old one went West after more than 10 years service.
Due to the good run I had with the Vac 1500 I went for another Flymo, the Vac 2700.
It was nice to find the bag, strap, wheel and handle from the Vac 1500 fitted the Vac 2700, thereby giving me a spare bag, strap and handel as well as saving the cost of getting a new wheel.
So far the Vac 2700 has proved itself to be better than the Vac 1500 in performance and is as easy to use, having the same controls.
If this one lasts for the next ten years of path and garden cleaning I will be getting another.
I use mine on pine needles and larger leaves as well as general blowing jobs.

This was my first experience buying a garden Vaccum and I was not disappointed by my choice. I can do the whole garden without having to empity the bag which is amazing as I do have lots and lots of leaves in my garden.
