Product Description The larvae of the Common Clothes Moth can be very destructive to clothes, carpets, rugs and upholstered furniture. In clothes damage occurs mainly in dark areas and under cuffs and collars. When damaging carpets, the Clothes Moth larvae extend silken feeding tubes along floor cracks. Clothes moths will rarely fly to lights like other Moths and tend to stay in the darkness. They can fly long distances and get through narrow cracks. The female lays about 50 eggs over about 3 weeks, which develop into the damaging larvae. Traditional Moth Balls contain an insecticide, which has been reported to poison people and especially Children under 6. They also leave a nasty odour. A more Natural way to monitor and treat these Moths is with a pheromone baited trap. This will attract and catch the male Moth preventing it from mating with the female and therefore preventing egg laying. Each sticky pad once placed in the trap will last about 12 weeks.

Wouldnt be without these! May 4, 2009 J. S. Bundy (London United Kingdom) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Absolutely brilliant product that attracts male clothes moths and traps them on the sticky pad. If you think you have seen a couple of moths in your house you will be amazed once you unwrap one of these as dozens will suddenly appear and be drawn to the pheromones.
If replaced regularly these strips can really control and possibly eradicate a persistent clothes moth problem
easy and effective May 9, 2010 rufus 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I just buy these refill pads and blutak them in locations where I suspect the clothes moths gather. Moths are not attracted to the traps from a distance of more than a couple of metres, but I have watched them home in on the traps so it is not just random that they land there. Then hey presto - not only do moths get effectively stuck but we can deduce which cupboards are their main hide-outs and take preventive action. We haven't eliminated all the moths yet but these are a huge help.
effective weapon in the battle against clothes moths September 6, 2009 Loulou777 (planet earth) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I deal in vintage clothing and am always concerned to protect my clothes from moths.
These sticky little traps are great as they trap the male moths very effectively, thus ensuring that the females are not fertilized.
Of course if there are male moths in your home it's a sign that the damage has already been done and that moths have hatched from somewhere nearby, possibly from a much loved silk or cashmere item, as they seem to love the most expensive and valuable things.
My battle plan, which I find very effective, is to use these pheromone traps dotted around my home and to also use moth and larvae killing strips in wardrobes and cupboards.
Nothing will ever guarantee 100% that you will never, ever get moth damage to clothes, however using the above method I have managed to keep the moths from making holes in my beautiful clothes, a big improvement on last year before I used the strips.
I would recommend them to anyone with a clothes moth problem
moth killer July 19, 2010 J. Harbourne (london) this product works particularly well moths are attracted to the traps and then like fly paper they are stuck to them does the job
This works July 9, 2010 Kevin Barron (Northampton, UK) I was shocked at how many of the little suckers fell for this. Now I am worried. What have they been eating in my house? Where is the big hole in my carpet?
